Water Features

Water features have been used to create sound and serenity since the Roman days.
They can also be used to drown out or mask unwanted noises from freeways or the neighbors “boom boxes”

But be careful, they can also be so loud themselves that they may make normal conversation between your friends and family difficult!

Any water feature that holds over 18” of freestanding water, can fall under the building code regulations as a pool, requiring you to put self closing gates, and special fencing up in addition to other things.

The Pond-less water feature is a great alternative and is much easier to maintain in many ways than a pond with standing water.

When designing a water feature, think of how you want the water to fall:
a) sheer decent
b) multiple falls c) cascading d) or maybe an upward projection of water
