Synthetic Grass and Putting Greens

Artificial grass installers in Southern California (primarily Orange and L.A County) seem to be popping up everywhere, and many of these companies are claiming to have the best synthetic grass (turf). The truth is, there are only a few manufactures in the world that are producing the majority of these grasses. We sell premium artificial grass directly to homeowners and will deliver to most cities. The cost of the grass is about $3.60 per sq. ft. and it typically costs about $5.00 per sq. ft. to install, depending on wether you need soil removed, what type of border will be installed, and how much product is wasted in cuts. We have experience and knowledge that goes beyond the installation of artificial grass, including: landscape design, proper drainage, planting, sprinklers, low voltage lighting, Alumawood patio covers, built in bbq's, water features and whatever else you might want installed at the same time as your artificial turf. Another thing to consider is the types of edging that might work the best for your grass. Pavers, concrete stone, or typical synthetic bender board edging. This simple picture here shows a combination of stamped concrete, block wall and concrete "mow strip" being used as a border for the artificial grass.

The first question asked by everyone is: What about the dogs? This is one of the benefits of artificial grass. It is great to use in areas for pets and requires no sprinkler sytem to be installed, and therefore, no more sprinkler repairs. Artificial grass installed along with Native or drought tolerant plants, some fake (or real) boulders, and some crushed stone or decomposed granite (D.G.) ,and you can have a yard that conserves water. Water conservation is important, and may even qualify you for rebates from your city or water company.

The cost for a synthetic lawn or artificial grass installed properly, is about double that of a traditional sodded lawn and irrigation system, But our study has shown that the cost difference can be made up in about 3 years, when watering and maintenance costs are factored in.
